Hot Chocolate Pots Recalled By Williams-Sonoma

Williams-Sonoma, has issued a voluntary recall of hot chocolate pots, in both the U.S. and Canada, because the handle can break off during use posing a burn and injury hazard.

To this date, the company has received twenty-eight reports of the handles breaking. Eight reports included minor injuries.

The recall involves Whirly Whip hot chocolate pots with the following item number(s): 2981454 or 4986535. It also includes the Whirly Whip gift set with item number 3021714. The CPSC News Release includes photos of the recalled products for your reference.

The items were sold nationwide at Williams-Sonoma stores, online at www.williams-sonoma.com and through Williams-Sonoma catalogs.

Consumers are urged to stop using the recalled chocolate pots and to return them to the nearest Williams-Sonoma store or to contact the company for refund instructions.
